Chrysanthemum morifolium ‘Jinsihuangju

Chrysanthemum morifolium 'Jinsihuangju' is one of the cultivated varieties of chrysanthemum morifolium ramat., a plant of the genus Chrysanthemum in the family Asteraceae. Also known as September chrysanthemum or Big Yellow Chrysanthemum.  Perennial herbaceous flowers, with a height of 50 to 80 centimeters. The stem is upright with branches, and the branches may not be covered with soft hairs. The leaves are alternate, ovate to oblong, with short petioles, and pinnately shallowly or semi-lobed. Capitulum inflorescences are solitary or clustered at the tips of branches and stems, with diameters ranging from 2 to 20 centimeters. Ligulate flowers, the outer layer of the involucral bracts is green, the flowers are large, the center is small, the color is golden yellow, and the smell is fragrant. The flowering period is from September to November.

It has been introduced and cultivated in Longsheng, Ziyuan, Quanzhou and other places in Guangxi, and is widely cultivated in Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui and other places. Golden Thread Chrysanthemum is a short-day plant that prefers a cool environment and requires an appropriate amount of sunlight to promote vegetative growth. It has strong cold resistance and drought resistance, and is not very demanding on soil. Sandy loam soil that is loose, rich in humus, fertile, well-aerated and well-drained is suitable.
